Fennel: Fennel can be used to relieve gas, bloating, and intestinal spasms. It’s thought to relax the intestinal muscles and relieve constipation.
Licorice Root: Now, unfortunately, just eating black licorice sticks all day will not help your symptoms. It is the licorice from the whole root that has the protective benefits, it is anti-inflammatory and coats and soothes irritated intestinal mucus membranes.
